NEW YORK: President Ayub Khan said here yesterday that Pakistan had no troubles with communist China. He was answering questions at a press conference on the eve of his flight back home after a week’s state visit to the United States.
He was asked what Pakistan’s relations with communist China were and whether his country was importing Cuban sugar by way of China. He replied: “China is our neighbour. We have no troubles with China. To the best of my knowledge we are not importing
Cuban sugar and certainly not via China.”
The president said that Pakistan had need for 50,000 tons of sugar and that a bid had been made from India and tenders accepted. Then, amid laughter, he said: “We are still looking for the fellow who made the bid.” He further said that Pakistan had no border difficulties with China.
The president said he found “real concern” among American officials over Kashmir and he felt that the United States will support any move leading to a peaceful settlement of that dispute.
The president said that since the ceasefire in Kashmir there had been 13 suggestions for a solution of the problem by the United Nations. “We accepted them. India rejected all of them.”
A reporter asked him whether there would be a “shooting war”. He replied: “The two armies are facing each other,” and added:
“Human beings are curious things. When they get fed up, they do all sorts of things.”
The reporter interjected: “Is Pakistan fed up?” The president answered: “Pakistan is not pleased. Pakistan is certainly not very pleased.” Pakistan has taken several initiatives “all along, all the time”, he said. — Agencies
The whistleblower website WikiLeaks announced it was releasing 35,000 U.S. diplomatic cables late Tuesday night. The official Twitter account broke the news to its more than one million followers, asking for help scouring the cables for discoveries.
So far, cables have been posted from China, Taiwan and Libya. Cables from other countries — including Russia, Venezuela, Indonesia, Syria, Somalia, Bahrain, South Africa, Yemen, Cuba, Germany, Iran, Afghanistan, Poland, France, Turkey, Romania and Rwanda — are reportedly to be released later.

Obama was pushed into a corner by Hillary Cliton (Clinton) and that little perfume smelling pimp Sarkosy from France, the male whore, Berlusconi of Italy was to be involved. The only big player to bow out was Merkel in Germany. Somewhere along the line Berlusconi said that the attack on Libya was not a humanitarian effort and he withdrew Italy. Cameron, Sarkosy, and Obama did the dirty deed.
At first, Obama was very hesitant to say anything about Libya. The press went into a frenzy, like dogs going after red meat, for Obama to say something. He played around the edges and finally he said the words : “Gaddafi must go”.
Those are the words that the French pimp and Mr. Fish N Chips Cameron wanted to hear, needed to hear, to put the final touch on their plan: the death of Qaddafi.
There were those that tried to warn Obama that he was stepping into a trap that would not be able to escape. Well known and knowledgable people from every walk of life, right-wing and left, black and white, all tried to keep the neophyte from making the mistake of his life. Louis Farrakhan told him in no uncertain terms that he was making a grave move by listening to voices that called on him to utter the words that he did.

You see, Qaddafi had made a fool of The French pimp, The Italian whore and “Dubya” in a very public and embarrassing manner. These white men could not let this black/white man stand in their way. They wanted revenge. Retribution. They needed to save face, but they needed the leader of the Western world to kick it off. And these fools ended up listening to Libya’s urbane, white-haired spymaster, Musa Kusa
They would take care of the rest. They would take the lead with their fighter jets and pilots. They just had to get this fool to go along. With Obama fancying himself as a “man of the world”, he went along.
After all he had a long and brilliant political record behind him: a couple of years as a senator from Illinois and having Madison Avenue make him the greatest thing since canned snuff.
Qaddafi had made slap fools out of Blair, Berlusconi, Sarkosy and Bush. Well, Bush and Blair had been replaced.
How did they end up collaborating with the once and future international pariah? The West’s reconciliation with Qaddafi disconcerted even the likes of former CIA director George Tenet, whose memoir, At the Center of the Storm, called the negotiations with Kusa “illustrative of the surreal world in which we had to operate.”
According to Tenet, many in the agency actually suspected Kusa of masterminding the 1988 bombing that blew Pan Am Flight 103 out of the sky over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 people. But by 2003, Western intelligence services had grown as comfortable with Kusa’s proposals as they were in the leather armchairs of the Travellers—and they helped Western leaders feel that way, too.
It was a deal none of them could resist. Libya’s oilfields would be fully opened up to the West, and U.S. and European banks and corporations could resume tapping the country’s revenue stream. And Qaddafi would publicly renounce his putative nuclear-development program (much of which had never even been uncrated). Having invaded Iraq in search of nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, the Bush administration could claim that in Libya, at least, its efforts were bearing fruit. The plan seemed to have something for everyone—everyone, it eventually turned out, except the Libyan people.
Gaddafi had even acknowledged his long suspected role in the Pan Am 103 crime.
It was an open secret that the trap had been set for Gaddafi at least ten years ago. The “boys” knew that he killed those people on that plane, even without his admission. They went along with the ruse of the man in prison for the crime had terminal cancer and would live only a few “months”. That was “years” ago.
No less than General Wesley Clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO had confirmed that the plan has been in place to get Gaddafi for at least a decade.
When the civil war in Libya started, they saw their chance. They would play the old “killing his own people” card. It did not matter that the US had murdered and continues to murder citizens of America. They were not talking about America. They were talking about Libya. Qaddafi.
So they set forth with the most bullshit story that many had ever heard. Not me, but the great unwashed had not heard of such silliness and Madison Avenue gave the cover needed. The old no-fly zone trick. “Yeah, that’s it”.
Now many professionals stepped forward to say that enforcing a no fly zone was war. PERIOD.
Then they had Obama make the most foolish statement in all of military history: That as the head of Libyan command and control, Qaddafi was a open target for assassination.
Now, the former ambassador of the day, John Bolton, made an argument for the assassination of Qaddafi.
Former ambassador John Bolton, President Bush’s decidedly undiplomatic envoy to the United Nations who is considering running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, had a decidedly undiplomatic solution to the crisis in Libya: The United States should terminate Muammar Qaddafi with extreme prejudice. (That means to kill him).
Bolton said: “Our military has a wonderful euphemism called ‘national command authority.’ It’s a legitimate military target. In Libya, Muammar Gaddafi is the national command authority. I think that’s the answer right there.”
“Big Bad John” has a point. The leader of a nation at war is a legitimate military target. The meaning of Bolton’s statement is not lost on some of us.
Using the logic of Ambassador Bolton, as the leader of the United States Armed Forces, Obama is a “legitimate military target”. Old John has been speaking for the movers and shakers for a long time. If the leader of Libya is the commander-in-chief is a “legitimate military target, then so is the leader of every nation that is engaged in war with Libya.

CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Wednesday that Libya’s crisis is just beginning with the fall of Moammar Gadhafi’s government.
Chavez has been a staunch defender of Gadhafi throughout the conflict, and he condemned NATO airstrikes and killings of civilians.
“The drama of Libya isn’t ending with the fall of Gadhafi’s government. It’s beginning,” Chavez said. “The tragedy in Libya is just beginning.”
Libyans hunting Moammar Gadhafi offered a $2 million bounty on Gadhafi’s head and amnesty for anyone who kills or captures him as rebels battled Wednesday to clear the last pockets of resistance from the capital, Tripoli.
Asked about such efforts to hunt for Gadhafi, Chavez said they reflect a “madness let loose.”
“What the Yankee empire and the European powers … want is Libya’s oil,” Chavez said.
Chavez said his country‘s embassy in Libya was looted, but the Venezuelan ambassador to Tripoli later corrected that account saying his official residence was looted by “armed groups” who stole belongings and vehicles.
“They didn’t leave anything in the house and fired some shots into the air,” Venezuelan Ambassador Afif Tajeldine told the Caracas-based TV channel Telesur.
He called it a violation of international law by armed groups supported by NATO, and therefore by NATO itself.
Chavez said Tuesday that Venezuela would continue to recognize Gadhafi as Libya’s leader and would refuse to recognize a rebel-led interim government.
On Wednesday, he denounced the U.S. role in the conflict, saying it represents “the madness of an empire.”
“They’ve destroyed a country and they continue destroying it,” Chavez said. “How many Libyan children have died?”
He made the remarks in response to questions from reporters after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“Now they’re aiming against Syria,” said Chavez, referring to another ally of Venezuela.

Venezuela’s ambassador in Libya, Tajeldine Afif, said Wednesday that his home in Tripoli was attacked by armed groups which fired shots into the air as they entered the scene. This action was condemned by Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.
Tajeldine Afif said that “at the embassy as such nothing happened, what happened today in our home (was that) armed groups entered this morning to my residence, asked for me and began to carry off all the goods, cars, ransacked the house, left nothing and gave a few shots into the air,” he said.
He explained that at the time of the incident he was in the residence by himself and vigilant when the rebels “took some shots at the door and entered”.
Tajeldine condemned the facts and stressed that it was “a demonstration of the violation of international law.”
“This site is our territory, Venezuela. Which must be respected. The violation is done by groups armed by NATO against our sovereignty,” he asserted.
Earlier, President Hugo Chavez had considered the situation in Libya an outrage.
“Regardless of the situation in Libya nothing can justify this outrage, it is an outrage against the world and a threat to the world,” said the president.
Chavez made the remarks during a brief news conference at the Miraflores Palace (Government House) after bidding farewell to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
In the Libyan capital fighting continues on Wednesday after the advance of rebel forces of the National Transitional Council.
